A wooden plaque?

I don’t mean to be too logical, but what do you do with a wooden plaque?! Certainly it’s a symbol of something cool – but it does get a little dusty over time…

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not minimizing the coolness of this plaque – but in my opinion – it’s even cooler to let everyone know why we got it!

Sajo Farm, one of our awesome communities in Virginia Beach, received the Stewardship Development Award from the city. And this is just one of several awards that Sajo Farm has won for Napolitano Homes and Sajo partner Terry Peterson, known together as The Terry Companies.

Here is a picture of the plaque – you have to admit, the carved tree is kinda pretty…

This particular award is really sweet because it shows our collective (Napolitano Homes’ and Terry Peterson’s) commitment to the community. After all, this is our town too, and we definitely love where we live! The Stewardship Development Award is given for preservation of natural features, open spaces and habitat as well as protection of existing wetlands and wildlife. The community must be energy efficient, have a focus on water conservation AND even the preservation of existing trees… One day I will tell you about the VERY OLD tree we refused to cut down. This tree holds records in the state of Virginia!

The best part of it all is that we managed to create the perfect community without disturbing the surroundings. With Sajo Farm’s many different “villages” you get multiple price ranges with all the modern amenities like a community pool, clubhouse, 24/7 fitness center. You also get English knot gardens, scenic views of Lake Lawson, beautiful ponds, fountains and natural, unspoiled landscapes. Sajo Farm is like a little slice of heaven!

I have to admit, I may feel the need to wipe my finger across the top of this little plaque every now & then to make sure it doesn’t get too dusty… but I can’t tell you how happy I am to work for the folks that earned it!

Great blog Amy. Today’s Buyers are searching for Builders that share their vision of protecting and preserving the environment. Napolitano Homes and Terry Peterson’s joint venture to protect, save and conserve are just more reasons why our homeowners here at Sajo Farm, when asked, will tell you that they “Love Where They Live”!

This is a web site that is well put together. Most of them you see out there don’t have any worthwhile fresh content on their site.
